Charles is a French-Canadian who currently plays for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie. Originally born in France, Charles spent his early years living in Canada. He moved back to Europe as a young teenager & featured for youth academies in both France and Belgium.
His first professional contract was with Ligue 1 side Lille. He totaled 12 goals in 30 appearances for Lille II between 2018-2021. During that time, the forward spent time on loan at Belenenses SAD of the Primera Liga and with Mouscron in the Belgian league.
In 2021 he signed for FC Eindhoven before signing for his current club Sparta Rotterdam. Upon signing for Rotterdam he was loaned back to Eindhoven where he scored 11 goals in 29 matches. Now, the 25-year-old striker is a regular starter for Sparta Rotterdam.
Charles is also a member of the Canadian Men’s National team where he has made a total of 12 appearances. He was most recently included in their 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup roster.
